The Red Storm men's basketball team defeated Grand Canyon University 78-68 at Burns Arena on Saturday to extend its record to 7-1 in the conference. Junior forward Tom Whitehead led Dixie State College in scoring with 20 points. The win keeps the Red Storm in second place behind Hawaii Pacific University. The team will begin its annual Hawaii road trip on Sunday against the University of Hawaii-Hilo and it will end on Feb. 20 against the first place Sea Warriors of HPU.

I was homeless in St George and the faculty of Dixie College and the people in the community took me in and saved a lost soul. I am proud of Dixie and everything she stands for. Exactly! I take care of all my schelduling 6-8 weeks ahead of time and all my finanical aide stuff (dixie one card) as well. Lines are low to non existent and Da people behind the counter are MORE than helpful, expecially to a slow minded fool such as myself. I've seen scribblers complain and be mad at the awesome people behind the desks at finacial aide and at the admistatration office personal
Why are they mad? Because they decided to fill out "fin" aide paper work days after the semester has started and wonder why enrolling for classes during the first week of school that the class is full. These are the same type of people who travel on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and wonder why the airport parking lot and terminals are such a zoo. These people need to get a clue and simply plan ahead!
