Almost every student has a love for Dixie. Check out some of the things that students love about Dixie.

While DSC is working on making our campus what people love about Dixie, students already have their own personal “loves” of Dixie State College.

Lauren Garrett, a cashier at the bookstore and a sophomore general education major from Layton, said she loves how small the campus is.

“I love that you can get to know each and every one of your professors,” Garrett said. “The small campus makes it easy to get to your classes on time.”

Kalli Davenport, a secretary for campus dining, said she loves how the teachers actually know her and the students’ names. She loves that it is very close knit.

While DSC advertises its one-on-one time with students and their hands-on experience, other students just love that they have the opportunity they do at DSC and their majors.

Morgan Thompson, a senior English major from Brigham, said she loves her department.

“The English department is the bomb” Thompson said.” The classes are so much fun, and we have some great teachers. I always have fun inside of class and outside. I feel like I’m learning a lot.”

Chelsea Moody, a junior pre-med major from Eureka, Nev., said she loves how inexpensive DSC is.

“I love that it’s not too expensive, and you get a really good education,” Moody said. “Even though tuition is going up next year, we all have a great thing to look forward to and that is university status. I don’t mind paying what I am paying for that type of degree.”

Lindsey Luzier, a senior biology major from Idaho Falls,Idaho, said she loves the weather at DSC.

“I also love the location of Dixie,” Luzier said. “It’s so safe and has such great things around it.”

While DSC professionals are working on making DSC a university, students seem to already love DSC just the way it is.
